Dobrynia Supermarket

25.09.2026

Local grocery retailers in Ukraine are gradually rethinking their store formats, evolving not only their product ranges but also the way retail spaces are designed and equipped. The focus is increasingly on customer comfort, intuitive navigation, product presentation and the overall in-store experience.

This approach was implemented in the equipment concept for the new urban-format Dobrynia supermarket in Zviahel. The project is based on an island layout with clear customer navigation and distinctive interior accents. The refrigeration lines were adapted to the specific requirements of each product category and the operational workflows of store personnel.
The consistent design language of the equipment and interior — combining wood, ceramic finishes and integrated lighting — creates a cohesive visual identity, with the equipment and interior design working as an integrated system.

Cube refrigerated counters formed the basis of the Dobrynia equipment concept. Their construction was customised to meet the specific requirements of individual departments. As a result, a single base equipment platform was adapted into different functional configurations — from specialised refrigerated solutions for pickled products and fish to bakery shelving.

In the meat and culinary departments, we used customised refrigerated counters featuring a hinged fan panel and vertical evaporator. These technical solutions are designed not only to provide efficient refrigeration for ultra-fresh categories, but also to ensure long service life, corrosion resistance and compliance with stringent hygiene requirements.

A dedicated module for the sale of salted and pickled products features built-in refrigerated stainless-steel containers, ensuring proper storage conditions and an attractive product presentation. The stepped display surface provides improved product visibility.

For the deli department, a Prisma Combi display case was integrated into the refrigerated counter line. Its configuration makes efficient use of vertical space, increasing product display capacity without expanding the footprint of the sales area.

Another key element is the range of wall-mounted refrigerated display cases, specially designed for this store. They combine several functions: product display, back-stock storage, a worktop for product preparation and integrated sinks. This multifunctional design optimises the use of retail floor space while supporting efficient staff operations.

For the fish department, the display cases were custom-manufactured to accommodate the complete service workflow — from displaying fish on ice to product preparation and packaging. The design incorporates a dedicated work area, sink and countertop spray shower, while the fine-mist spray system helps maintain the visual freshness and quality of the fish.
The bakery area was also designed around the specific operational workflow. A continuous equipment line combines a confectionery display case, service counter and bread shelving, with product replenishment carried out from the staff side. This configuration ensures efficient replenishment while maintaining a clean and uninterrupted customer-facing presentation.
